About Us
Buffalo Mountain Camp
Buffalo Mountain Camp is located in the Johnson City District of the Holston Conference of the United Methodist Church. It is approximately 8 miles from Johnson City, Tennessee, nestled in the Cherokee National Forest. Campers delight in the beauty of God’s creation as they experience Christian community and growth in personal faith. The camp is accredited by the American Camping Association and is directed by Jason Onks.
Camp Dickenson
Camp Dickenson is located in the Wytheville District. It is approximately 6 miles from Galax, Virginia, on the north bank of the New River. Once a thriving farm, Camp Dickenson is now a site dedicated to spiritual growth. The seeds of faith planted through this ministry will grow into new and fruitful lives with God. The camp is accredited by the American Camping Association and is directed by Michael Snow.
Camp Lookout
Camp Lookout is located in the Chattanooga District and is owned by the Chattanooga and Cleveland Districts. It is approximately 8 miles from Lookout Mountain, Georgia on the east brow of the mountain. Accredited by the American Camping Association, Camp Lookout strives to glorify God through every aspect of its ministry. Camp Lookout is directed by Don Washburn.
Camp Wesley Woods
Camp Wesley Woods is located in the Maryville District in Townsend, Tennessee, only a few miles from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. It is owned by the Maryville, Knoxville, Morristown, and Oak Ridge Districts. Camp Wesley Woods is accredited by the American Camping Association. Emphasis is placed on living with others, while growing together in Christian life and faith through the week of fun. The director is David Leach.
Retreat Opportunities
The Camps of Holston Conference are excellent places for churches to intentionally get away for a time of reflection, spiritual renewal, and re-creation.
